Enclosure
- Minimum 60L tank (larger for adults)
- Deep substrate for burrowing
- Water dish large enough to soak
Keep enclosure simple and secure as they are strong and messy.
Diet
- Staple: Insects (crickets, locusts, roaches)
- Occasional: Pinky mice (adults only)
- Juveniles: Feed daily
- Adults: Feed 2–3 times per week
Dust food with calcium and vitamin supplements regularly.
Avoid overfeeding as they can become obese easily.
Temperature & Environment
- Warm side: 26–30°C
- Cool side: 22–24°C
- 6–7% UVB
- Humidity High: 60%–80%
- Heat mat recommended (with thermostat!)
Provide a warm, slightly humid environment with a shallow water area for soaking.
